About Katharine Morgan

Welcome! I’m Katharine, and I’ve been doing this whole design thing for over 20 years now. For the first 15 of those, I was in the big agency world, working on huge campaigns and global roll-outs for brands like Cathay Pacific, KFC & Westpac … But a few years back, I realised I found much more joy in helping smaller businesses grow and tell their stories.

So, five years ago, I went “free range.” Now, I focus on partnering with small and medium-sized businesses, which means I get to dive deep into what makes each company tick – right down to the nuts and bolts. I love that part of the process, getting to know every little detail so I can help build a brand that feels true to who they are.

My style? I’d say it’s bold and minimalist – clean, simple designs that cut through the noise. I believe in creating branding that makes an impact without being over-the-top. It’s all about balance and making sure the design really speaks to the heart of your business.

If you’re a business owner looking for someone who’s not just going to design for you, but really get invested in what you’re doing, then we should definitely chat. I’d love to help you grow and bring your brand to life in a way that feels authentic and exciting!

How I work

Building the best team for your business

I’m a firm believer that the right person should be on the right job. It’s why I love collaborating with other talented freelancers and contractors. While many agencies will keep everything in-house for the sake of convenience or control, I take a different approach. Why not bring in the best person for the task, whether that’s a developer for a website, a designer for a brand, or a copywriter for messaging? Every project is different, and it makes sense to build the best team for each one.

This way of working keeps things flexible and ensures the best results. When I’m working on a brand, it’s often a combination of design, messaging, and strategy – so I’ll bring in a copywriter who knows how to nail the tone and voice. If it’s a website, I’ll pull in a developer and SEO expert who can make sure everything works seamlessly, both technically and in terms of visibility. It’s all about getting the best fit for each part of the project.
