From Shoes to Shindig: The Success Story of The Barefoot Ball

Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) asked us to create a memorable and immersive experience for their annual event, The Barefoot Ball. The theme for this year’s event was a ‘toga party’, and we were tasked with developing a creative concept that incorporated the MHYC branding while also aligning to the toga theme.

Look and Feel

To create a cohesive look and feel for The Barefoot Ball, we drew inspiration from the intricate patterns and textures found in Greek tiles and reliefs. We incorporated the MHYC branding into the design, using a color palette that was reminiscent of the bright blue tones found in Mediterranean architecture. We also used typography and patterns that were inspired by Greek art and design.

Custom Illustration

To add an extra layer of visual interest to the event materials, we developed customĀ  character illustrations inspired by the scenes you would see in ancient reliefs. These illustrations were used on invitations, posters, and other promotional materials, helping to create a sense of excitement and anticipation for the event.

Social Media Marketing

To promote The Barefoot Ball on social media, we created a series of posts featuring photos of the custom illustrations we created. The posts included event details and encouraged attendees to dress up in their toga or ancient greek attire. Our social media strategy was focused on engaging with the MHYC community and promoting the event to a wider audience.
