Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) tasked us with crafting standout marketing collateral for their annual event, The Barefoot Ball. This year, with the theme set as a ‘toga party,’ we aimed to blend MHYC branding with a touch of ancient Greek flair.
To achieve a cohesive design, we drew inspiration from the intricate patterns and textures of Greek tiles and reliefs. Consequently, we integrated MHYC branding seamlessly into the design, utilizing a color palette that echoed the vibrant blue tones of Mediterranean architecture. Furthermore, our typography and patterns were influenced by Greek art and design.
As a result, the event was highly praised and effectively captured the essence of the theme.

Custom Illustration for Event Marketing
To enhance the visual appeal of the event materials, we crafted custom character illustrations inspired by ancient relief scenes. These illustrations were prominently featured on invitations, posters, and various promotional materials, thereby generating excitement and anticipation for the event.
Social Media Marketing to Promote the Event
In order to boost The Barefoot Ball’s visibility, we designed a series of social media posts showcasing the custom illustrations. Each post included essential event details and encouraged attendees to don their toga or ancient Greek attire. By focusing on engaging with the MHYC community and reaching a broader audience, our social media strategy effectively amplified the event’s presence and appeal.
